Bud's was great as usual. I have bought plenty of their firearms and I have nothing to complain about there. As far as the rifle goes, I have been wanting one of the Hawkeye Alaskan rifles for years. The Alaskan hunters and guides look at these rifles like highly utilitarian commodities, and these rifles are respected there. The 300 Win. Mag. version is kind of an oddball crossover that can be used to hunt mule deer and even whitetail deer with a light bullet, and this particular sub-model is not all that common for serious hunters in Alaska, but it has all of the features that the harder hitting rifles have. Stainless steel makes it possible to put it up wet so I can take a nap and clean it up the next morning, the iron sights allow me to quick-detach the scope and shoot on iron backup sights in the rain, and the threaded barrel allows me to run my suppressor with the scope. I can literally hunt anywhere with this thing in any weather imaginable, and take a kill shot when I need it. There is company in Alaska that custom manufactures the quick-detach scope rings (often to the order) called Alaska Arms. They also sell a magazine extension that a lot of the guides buy. I did not get the extension because I am not hunting dangerous game, but the people who do buy the heck out of the things. If you buy this, you are serious about using it, and you do use it, you will not be let down. The Mauser-style extractor will rip just about any mistake you have out in an emergency, and the rifle will almost assuredly go bang.

Its big its bulky but its a 10 mm that is accurate buds was great fast shipping no issues

Fine looking rifle. I have been wanting a scout rifle, particularly one of the Ruger Gunsite rifles but there were no new ones in .308 so I purchased this one. It looks fantastic. Buy Ruger magazines if you want spares or a ten-rounder, though. The Magpul ones don't fit very well.

Great mags for training and larping. Would go with Pmag gen3 for SHTF though.

Great optics, kinda fuzzy for me since I wear glasses. If you have astigmatism, this optic won't help FYI. Looks cool on a m4 clone though.

Overall an excellent back up pistol or deep cover type pistol. Recoil isn't too bad. Snappy but that's to be expected with such a small polymer frame. ( Less than a 380 LCP) 7 round magazine that's made by mec-gar so it's extremely reliable with FMJ. JHP will rim lock. Not the gun or mags fault that's just the nature of the cartridge. I have carried with a JHP in the chamber and the mag full of FMJ. The European made ammo tends to be a little hotter than UsA made. The available pocket clip is pretty handy for this pistol just use loc-tite. You can also get a metal guide rod that I think is worth the $10-15. There is a 10rd mag option but I think it's bulky for what it is. Sights are well…just there. Don't plan on getting much out of them. Again you're probably gonna be shooting less than 5yards with it realistically. But for the money you can't beat it and with FMJ you won't jam up. Liked it so much I bought a second one.

This thing is a tack driver. During break in this gave me under 1/2 moa accuracy.
