The Ruger American Gen II Scout is a compact bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Win and compatible with 7.62x51 NATO ammunition. Its 16.1-inch threaded barrel features a factory-installed flash suppressor and durable Cobalt Cerakote treatment shared by the barrel, receiver, and bolt handle. AR-style front and aperture rear iron sights provide practical sighting with elevation and windage adjustment, while the factory-installed Scout-length scope base and Picatinny rail support optics. A three-position tang safety, Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, rubber recoil pad, and textured Splatter-finished stock provide confident handling in the field. The stock includes an adjustable length of pull from 12 inches to 13.75 inches by removing the installed spacer, and one 5-round AI-pattern magazine is included.

Fine looking rifle. I have been wanting a scout rifle, particularly one of the Ruger Gunsite rifles but there were no new ones in .308 so I purchased this one. It looks fantastic. Buy Ruger magazines if you want spares or a ten-rounder, though. The Magpul ones don't fit very well.
