  the Taurus 809 series pistols are out of production so the chances of them getting more in is slim I suggest checking with the major auction sites like G(un)B(broker) and G(uns)A(merica) Remove ()

• Q: I have an 809, and the trigger pull is downright horrendous in single action, has anyone else encountered this? It wants to shoot, but I can't get any accuracy out of it due to the heavy trigger pull--

  if the gun is new I suggest a set of snap cap and just sit pull back (cant say c***) the hammer and pull the trigger it should get better as it wears in you may also check for a set of replacement springs from Wolf or other performance company

• Q: Has anyone had an issue with the fit of the magazines. Mine wobble---up and down and side to side. Have not fired the weapon yet so do not know if it will create an issue. Might buy another magazine in case the two which came with the weapon are just bad.

  This is normal in the 809 Clifton. As long as the mag catch locks and the mag does not release with a tug you are good to go. If you have trouble finding spare mags for the Taurus 809, Taurus 24/7 G2 magazines work just fine and are plentiful.

  The PT809 is built on a polymer frame with a forged steel slide with a black Tennifer finish. A captive recoil spring with a full-length stainless steel guide rod in a cylindrical hard polymer tube which holds the recoil spring in place.

• Q: The missing rounded hammer takes away from the look and lure of the firearm. I and others who first saw it with the rounded hammer were in total agreement that they would purchase the FA not just because of its quality but because the Serious look the rounded hammer contributed to it. Now, with all due respect), it looks like a "bubble gum version" of one of the main features which drew attention to it!!! Please Reconsider!!! Respectfully Yours, M.F.???

• Q: does this model still come with an optional rounded hammer? And also, is this model going to be discontinued and if so WHY????

  I'd say the size is the reason its lost popularity. Its a micro pistol era and there are lots of smaller sized 9mm out there. And for the guys that like big body guns like a Desert Eagle or S&W 500, this guns to small. Its in the middle sized class with tremendous competition and only a small slice of the pie. The lack of sales are likely why the plug has been pulled.

• Q: I have read that most Taurus firearms come with a hard case but I would like to be sure that this one does, with 2 mags and backstraps.

  I purchased a Taurus 809 it came w/two 18rd mags, even thou the add said two 17 rd.mags.Itcame w/a loader and 3 back straps for grip. A very nice hard case that held everything. The fit and finish are very good.It has nice white dot sights adjustable for windage.W/ also a rail for lite or laser.It Has a nice even and flat blue. Manuel saftey. The pistol is made very well,and shoots equally well. would highly recommend this gun.
