Classic Feel, Modern Design. No other .22 LR pistol provides the feel of the classic 1911 pistol with the proven reliability and value of the Ruger® Mark III™ pistols. The perfect trainer, it allows for low-cost practice and provides shooters with the familiar and preferred grip shape and feel of the famous 1911 .45 caliber pistol.

In addition to the identical grip angles, the 22/45™ features the same fire control locations (manual safeties, magazine releases and bolt hold-opens) as the 1911, making them perfect for .45 caliber shooters looking for an affordable way to train. Also perfect for plinking, target shooting, and small game hunting, the 22/45 is available in a variety of configurations and barrel lengths, each with the same trusted reliability that Ruger has delivered since 1949.

I've had this gun for awhile now and have put close to 500 rounds through it. I can say that it is more accurate than my 10/22 out to 50 yards! Great pistol, just be aware that this model is very barrel heavy and breaking it down for a thorough cleaning is a PITA. Definitely a great tack driving pistol!!

I brought this little pistol so that I could have a practice gun that shoots cheaper ammo. It's not nicest looking gun but it's the best rimfire pistol I have ever owned or shot.

Between me and my friends it's been through several thousand rounds now and I have only had a few minor issues with FTF's and FTE's. I attribute those to the ammo as I shoot mosly bulk .22 ammo. It seems to eat most types of ammo and with the very rare ammo malfunction it's a very reliable .22 pistol. It's solidly built and has a nice weight to it. The weight is nice as it gives it the feel of a full sized pistol. It's been very accurate as well on all kinds of targets from bottles, cans and paper targets.

It's a great gun and I would recomend it to anyone who likes to plink alot alot without breaking the bank on ammo. When it comes to Ruger pistols, this is probably one of thier best products.

Thanks to Buds for another quick and easy purchase.

Everyone should have one, or two. Ruger 22/45 + Extra Mags + Bucket O .22LR = Fun All Day Long. This is an excellent gun for the novice shooter and for the experienced. I have fired a couple thousand rounds through this gun with out any major hiccups. As with all .22lr guns you will occaionally get a FTF or a FTE. Its a little bit akward to put the magazines in but after a few fumblings it catches on. Also, disasembling the gun is like pulling teeth. Overall, the Ruger 22/45 is a great gun to teach with or just to play with.
