Good to shoot a couple hundred rounds through any new gun, but Springfield doesn't specifically state a break in period for their guns.

Hi Benito and welcome. The Prodigy is normally good out of the box. The only thing needed is a hundred rounds or so, take-down and clean and lube. This is essentially just to remove any metal particles from any new firearm as parts settle into each other. Cheers and stay safe!
