This is my first 1911...
This is my first 1911 platform and I can understand why it's so popular. I have several very popular 9mm striker fire and double action hammer fired 9's. I figured I would purchase the Prodigy knowing the resale wouldn't be an issue if I didn't like it. I put a few hundred rounds through it and I am sold! No malfunctions and I am totally loving the trigger even though it is a bit heavy at 3.75 lbs. I am hoping this drops as it get's broken in, but it's manageable as it is. I can't remember the last time I looked forward so much to getting a pistol back onto the range.

This ended up becoming my winter daily carry weapon. It feels great in the hand, and it's not nearly as snappy as you might expect! It's been super reliable with only a couple of failures during the break in period, and by that I mean the first box of ammo. Since broken in I haven't had a single issue with it.
