Hi Joel and welcome. This model has a 3-inch Chamber and will shoot 3-inch and 2.75-inch shells no issue. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

It's chambered for 3" shells so it can load in and shoot both 2-3/4" & 3" shell cartridges.
