Hi Jesse and welcome. This model is a reproduction and is not +P rated. For safety and warranty reasons, I would refrain from firing +P ammunition. Cheers and stay safe!

No Sir & Here's why: Pietta's recommendation: Pietta, the manufacturer of your revolver, often recommends using "cowboy ammo" with soft lead bullets and velocities not exceeding 850 fps in their 45 Long Colt revolvers. They specifically warn against using hot or jacketed ammunition. Original Colt SAA design: The Colt SAA, which the Pietta 1873 is based on, was not designed for the increased pressures of +P ammunition.
