Ben, I highly recommend practicing with what you will carry. Some of the lowest recoiling 380 that can be used for practice and self defense is the Liberty round here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/656_2081_10000716/products_id/716007850/LIBERTY%20AMMO%20380%20ACP%2050%20GR%20HP/ --- If just straight target ammo then : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/656_2081_10000716/products_id/67946/Remington%20380%20ACP%2095%20Grain%20Flat%20Nose%20Enclosed%20Base/
these are the lowest recoil round (80 grain 1050 fps) I know of they come in boxes of 20 but the cost of 100 (5 boxes) is about the same as the cost of 100 ( 2 boxes) of most of the other 380 ammo https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/656_2081_10000716/products_id/21352/Legend%20AMMO%20.380ACP%2080GR.%20Solid%20Hollow%20point%2020%20rounds/
