Yes, if it was not Remington, I would suggest checking the headspace before firing 5.56 because some that are labeled as being able to handle 5.56 actually cannot but you can trust this rifle. I'd also stick to ammo that is non-berdan primed (Boxer primed is more reliable to me in mine and my friends).

The data in the specifications on the listing calls for caliber 223 Remington/5.56. However, it also says chambered it 223 Remington. If the latter is true you should NOT fire 5.56 NATO in the rifles as it MIGHT produce an over pressure. If the former is true you will no problem with either. NATO ammo standards are different than SAMMI standards for US commercial ammo. Any ammo marked 222 Rem is okay. That is not true of ALL 5.56 NATO ammo. It may take both but that would require reading the manual or a call to Remington for full clarification. (Keep in mind that Remington would much rather it be 'called' 223 Remington than 5.56 NATO so marketing is also at issue with this particular rifle.)
