Understood Ben, but mine was just an opinion. No manufacturer is immune to an occasional. over charged, under charged or no charged round. Only a sparse few are ever pulled for inspection. Even the Big manufacturers let an occasional round get by them from time to time. Bullet setback from an improper crimp could produce an over pressure situation if the bullet is forced back in the case when chambered as well.

I was a member of the USN shooting team in the 1990s and have never had a squib from factory ammo (they can happen but are Rare ) and I have shot a lot of it maybe you have a different definition of a squib this is the definition I use "A squib load, also known as a squib round, pop and no kick, or just a squib, is a firearm malfunction in which a fired projectile does not have enough force behind it to exit the barrel, and thus becomes stuck. This type of malfunction can be extremely dangerous, as failing to notice that the projectile has become stuck in the barrel may result in another round being fired directly into the obstructed barrel, resulting in a catastrophic failure of the weapon's structural integrity." if I am having feed problems after 300 rounds of ammo I am changing my ammo brand.

There are 3 ways to blow up this gun and I've seen them all. 1: Overloaded round. 2: Put a 32 or 25 ACP in it and it will go up in the barrel and if the next round is a 380 ACP it'll blow up. 3: Shoot a squib and then shoot again with the barrel blocked. If it was factory ammo and you did not have any 32 or 25 ACP on the shooting table you should contact the ammo manufacturer and they will buy you a new gun and treat you very well.

mark g there is a 4th way and I carry a scar from it a improperly fitted 1911 barrel had the throat cut 2 deep which allowed a round to blow out the case side (bottom) setting off rounds in the magazine I was not shooting it but was next to the shooter and have a scar on my head from part of the guns grip which hit me I find factory squibs to be very Rare
