Joey - I've owned both and they are pretty much the same, as far as racking the slide.
Joey the Ruger is actually slightly harder to rack than the Body Guard. Both are stiff. I actually went with the tons easier to load/rack 380 EZ for my wife and she loves it : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/101525/smith+%26+wesson+m%26p+shield+380+ez+8%2b1
Joey - One thing to remember is that all of these smaller pistols will get somewhat easier to rack the slide after firing several rounds - they loosen up just a bit, and the springs get 'broken in'.
A little harder, the Smith has a little more to get a hold of but it wasn't a problem racking the LCP.
