What is the difference in barrel diameter between Hk81000403 and Hk5780303? I understand there is a shroud around the barrel but I am talking about the actual barrel. I have heard they are very thin and I am concerned about longevity. Any concerns that I should have?

Since we're talking 22LR ... I don't imagine you would ever wear out either one.  Just not enough heat/pressure/bullet speed.

Dave, the actual Barrel diameters are the same, even on the Shrouded model. Most likely a weight saving deal. They are on the thin side compared to other similar 22LR Pistols but they should hold up just fine. 22LR is a forgiving round.

they are the same diameter and I hope you live long enough and shoot enough to "wear' out the barrel If you do you will have had a long enjoyable life
