Yes, there are aftermarket 40-9mm conversion barrels on the market for the XD as well as 357 Sig barrels. Probably safer to use 9mm XD mags for the 9mm conversion, but 357 Sig should work in the .40 magazine. I've converted Glock 40/357 Sig pistols to 9mm without any problems. Storm Lake makes a good conversion barrel.
