Heather - you will need the "Government" or "Full Size" grips. There is no "standard" 1911 grip, and that term confuses people. There are "Government/Full Size; Commander/compact: Officer; Those will be the choices from which you will need to select your grips. Hogue Grips and VZ Grips re two of the biggest grip producers for 1911s, and both are quality products. But don;t look for 'standard' size. You need "Government" or "Full Size"
