Jeffrey, Spent shell casings eject out of the right side. Away from a right handed shooter. The ejection port is the same opening the charging handle is in.

Jeffrey - this firearm ejects empty shells to the right side, and it is pretty much 'fixed'. A gunsmith could possibly tinker with the ejector/extractor and change it a bit, and differently powered shells might vary slightly, but it is pretty much 'what it is'
