How does this rifle compare to the Savage HS in 308 with the 24" barrel? Man i am so undecided on my bolt purchase. I was also looking at the tikka t3x varmint with ss hb.

Erik, All great choices. I would always go with the Remngton 700 with 5-R Bolt, I mean adjustable trigger, cold hammer forged barrel, all weather furniture, stainless. All the features every other brand has. And a great value.

Erik, I would have no issue with either of these excellent choices. The  Tikka t3x varmint with ss hb or the Remington are so close that if blindfolded you would not be able to tell the difference. My choice would be the Remington due to accessory support with the Tikka being a close second.

all of them are great rifles I would choose the Remington just because I like the Remington 700 and the fact that they have made so many that parts will never be a issue if you brake something
