its a Rifle-length gas system Rifle-length gas tubes are generally about 13 inches long, requiring handguards ranging from 11.5 to 12 inches long. Mid-length gas tubes are approximately 9.5 inches long and require a handguard around 8.5 to 9 inches long.

Daniel, this rifle has a (Rifle Length Gas System) 18" 4140 Chrome-Moly Steel Cold Hammer Forged Barrel with 1:8" Twist, 5 Groove Rifling & Muzzle Threaded 1/2-28 TPI.
