Does the stock on this gun have A17 stamped on stock below bolt or does it have A SERIES stamped there...my son just bought a a17 model 47008 and it has ASERIES stamped on stock ,,it does not have the A17 marking as shown in most stock pics...?? Is there a difference in gun or does the stamped marking mean nothing

Charlie, it has A SERIES stamped on the stock Sir. Savage has been doing this on the A17's starting a couple years ago. Bo difference in the firearms.
