Yes, this configuration is NJ compliant. The picture is correct, the video is for the regular XV Volunteer models and is not specific to the NJ version.
Hi Thomas, as a fellow NJ resident, I can unequivocally say yes, you can have a pistol grip on a AR15 in NJ. (I actually own this exact model) You are allowed 1 'Evil Feature', which is the pistol grip. You can not additionally have an adjustable stock, threaded barrel, flash hider, bayonet lug, or grenade launcher. As long as the barrel is non threaded and the stock is fixed, it is NJ legal.
