Hi Aaron, If bought as a rifle: always a rifle If bought as receiver, first made as rifle: always a rifle If bought as receiver, first made as pistol: can be made into rifle and back, as long as you don't make it SBR midway through If bought as pistol: can be converted to rifle and back, as long as you don't make it SBR halfway through If form 1 SBR: can be changed back to non-SBR spec whether it was a pistol or rifle Stay safe & have a great day!
