Norma, this pistol has a moderate pull back Sir. My daughter has no issues with racking nor firing the Ruger EC9S. Cheers and stay safe!

If you have smaller hands the grip will be fine. Since it's a small Pistol it's going to have a decent amount of recoil for a 9mn and some smaller pistols can be hard to rack the slide. Unfortunately that's true with most smaller Pistols. Hope this helps and good luck with your choice.

I'd say no. Bought my wife one of these and sold it two days later because she had trouble racking the slide and the recoil was to much because the pistols small. My wife has big hands so I think majority of the issue was because she couldn't get a good grip on it. So if you have small hands it shouldn't be too bad. I'd still recomend a little bigger of a pistol because the weight will help with recoil. Hope this helps.

Does Ruger and the EC9S have a lifetime warranty?

Ruger doesn't actually offer any warranty but they stand behind their products. They have great customer service and I've heard stories of people weather they were the first or third owner Ruger will repair it at no cost to the owner. From what I hear they don't offer a written warranty for legality reasons but pretty much they have an unconditional lifetime warranty and will fix it at no cost to you if you have any issues. Hope this helps.

yes it is +P rated however +P ammo will cause faster wear on the gun so I would only shoot enough to find a reliable and accurate defense load the shoot standard 9MM for range/practice

Yes it rated plus P but worth such a light small gun it'll make it really snappy and unpleasant to shoot, probably want to limit plus P to deffensive ammo and do range/practice with standard pressure.

Yes, Ruger ec9s can handle+p ammunition. Ruger recommends limited use since +p ammo can wear parts quicker than standard velocity ammo but unless you're shooting thousands of rounds doubt you'll ever notice a difference from standard velocity ammo. Hope this helps.

This is the Ruger EC9S, a "New & Improved" version of the highly-successful LC9S pistol. The EC9S is a striker-fired semi-auto designed for the concealed carry market. It uses the same magazines as the LC9S, with the biggest obvious difference between the two beings the fact that the sights on the EC9S are machined directly into the slide. The EC9S has a slim, lightweight and compact design, with glare-reducing rear facing cocking serrations and a finger grip extension floorplate that can be added to the 7-round magazine for comfort and improved grip. Safety features include integrated trigger safety, manual safety, magazine disconnect and an inspection port that allows for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber.

For an entry level everyday carry, this Ruger is an excellent choice. Light, accurate, manageable and most importantly.....reliable!! The internal design is a little more complex than say a Glock or Sig but then again those guns are hundreds more. For an economic shooter I would choose Ruger over any comparatively priced sub 9

A very satisfactory purchase. It is a bit more comfortable to shoot than I thought it might be. I carried for a long time as my EDC. The rounded edges make it much less prone to snagging on clothes. However, being a semi auto, it is prone to collect lint, so regular checking and cleaning is recommended depending on how deeply you carry it.

I purchased this pistol for CC. It is kinda small enough that it is very comfortable to carry. It’s also one of the best little pistol IMO you can buy. Ruger has always been my go to gun when I want to make sure it’s going to work every time. Rugers may not be pretty but they are built like a tank. I love my Rugers.
