Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense .40 S&W ammunition uses a lightweight, lead-free 60-grain hollow point projectile designed for high velocity and controlled terminal performance. The load produces velocities greater than 2000 feet / second and more than 500 foot-pounds of kinetic energy, while its reduced projectile weight helps limit felt recoil. Factory data reports less than 2 inches of dispersion at 25 meters with 12 inches of penetration. Each box contains 20 rounds in nickel-plated brass cases.
