Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense .40 S&W is a high-velocity defensive load featuring a 60-grain lead-free fragmenting hollow point bullet. It is designed to deliver rapid energy transfer, reduced felt recoil, and reliable performance from compatible .40 S&W handguns. The round produces a listed muzzle velocity of 2000 feet / second and muzzle energy of 532 foot-pounds, with 10 inches of penetration in ballistic gel. This new-production, non-corrosive ammunition uses nickel-plated brass cases and requires no firearm modifications.
