Very nice example of...
Very nice example of an 1860 army. Blueing on the barrel is a little "thin" but the frame is absolutely beautiful, the brass and the color case hardening is perfect. The walnut grips look gorgeous and are fitted perfectly. Right out of the box it is covered in packing grease and needs a thorough cleaning and there are some rough/sharp edges that need a very light filing. Hot soap and water and some ballistol and this thing is as smooth as butter. Buds had a great price, shipping was fast—-right to my front porch.

Very good replica of a Colt 1860 Army. Good machining, excellent color case hardening and bluing. Generally well fit, but, as with all the Italian made replicas, disassembly and a little polishing and tuning of the mechanism is necessary, but only a minimal amount. Thankfully, although Pietta still roll stamps the left side of the barrel, they now use a much smaller font than the veritable billboard they used to put on, a vast improvement. Overall, I am very satisfied with the gun, and Bud's price, rapid shipping and ease of purchase was outstanding.
