Product Overview
The Forward Controls Design AR-15 ABC/R v3 Bolt Catch is a purpose-built upgrade for AR-15/M16 receivers with ambidextrous magazine releases. The angled, larger paddle geometry and the RB configuration make it easier to access the bolt catch paddles by feel, including when the ambi mag release creates competing control surfaces near the factory bolt catch.

- RB configuration positions the upper paddle for easier left-side access with an extended index finger
- Butterfly lower paddle increases surface area without interfering with an ambidextrous magazine catch lever
- Angled paddle geometry improves tactile access with gloved hands and reduced visual searching
- Tactile notch above the lower paddle helps signal the lower paddle starting point by feel
- Machined from 8620 alloy steel and heat treated for strength
- Black DLC coating for corrosion resistance and durability
