The Bersa AMC 1911 Commander is a steel-frame single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Its 4.25-inch barrel provides the balance of a traditional 1911 with a more compact Commander configuration. Novak-style rear and dovetail front sights support a clear sight picture, while the beavertail grip safety and extended thumb safety provide familiar 1911 controls. Checkered hardwood grips, a combat hammer, combat trigger, extended slide stop, flared ejection port, and rear slide serrations complete the practical defensive and range-ready design.

I was a little...
I was a little apprehensive about getting this gun. There are no reviews of the compact commander, only the commander and they are mixed, ranging from junk to good bang for the buck. Well I took the plunge and bought it and I am glad I did. I took it to the range today and I am very pleased. I put 104 Winchester white box, 16 of my reloads(230 gr ball with 5 gr American Select powder)and 7 Federal HydraShoks(my carry round)through it with zero FTF or FTE. No issues at all. The sights at 7 yards are point of aim elevation and slightly to the left windage. If this one is indicative of Metro Arms QA, then I will not hesitate if I decide to buy another on of their guns.
