Browning HiPower, a...
Browning HiPower, a real classic. Shoots great, action is smooth, trigger a little heavy but you get used to it. I got this to replace one that was stolen in the 1980`s. I will say if you have meaty hands it will give you slide bite because of the short beaver tail and the long tang on the hammer, if you have meaty hands. I have never had a jamb, stove pipe or any other malfunction with this pistol. It fires everything I`ve put thru it so far. I just enjoy this pistol.

John Browning designed...
John Browning designed two handguns that have only been copied, over and over: the 1911 and the Browning Hi Power. Massad Ayoob notes Browning "understood the concept" of ergonomics before people ever used the word, and though people originally bought this weapon for fire power (up to 13 +1 in the pipe), they kept the Hi Power because: "It simply felt exquisitely natural in the human hand." This human agrees. This is still the side arm of most European military, largely because of a rep for shooting ANY load you put in it, w/o FTE&FTF, so any low quality/target shooting bullets are not a challenge. And with today's high quality ballistics, say for example, +P 9mm traveling almost 4 football fields length in one second, the firepower is noted in police databases even at 115gr to knock thugs down, right now, no arguments, and no excuses (and about zip for recoil/ barrel rise). You don't need a .45 to drop late-night uninvited, with a 115gr +P JHP opening up their secret parts, and you don't have to worry about a .45 slug penetrating your sheet rock/family/ or neighbors, to have effective, economical defense loads working for you. The Mark III ergo grips accommodate down the scale to the shortish fingers some shooters have, and the variety of grips available lets people with larger than average hands custom fit grips in many, many different materials & designs, to keep this pristine engineering accomplishment attractive as it is effective. Bud's promises, low price, speedy delivery, quality, were excellent - period. Bud's knows what gunners want, and so do I, and so do you. And they deliver. I am very thankful we have this site allowing us access to their excellent business. The Hi Power delivered me was factory new, and the "drill" I've heard everybody from Massad Ayoob to Hickok45 talk about = it's the drill, because you point it, and it drives 'em like a nail gun, right in the same spot over and over, if you don't flinch. I am very pleased with the gun and Bud's excellent delivery of promised. The priority FFL I used, Saddleback Valley Gun Center, took perfect care to dot all "i's" and cross the "t's," but also let me store my weapon there for about 6 weeks, no additional fee, no bs = I can trust Bud's when they say they somebody is a trusted FFL. I don't need anything better than honest, and honest is what they do here. Thank you, Bud's. Until next time. Bill H.
