A: Fransisco, this does not have a manual thumb safety. This has a trigger blade safety, so you have to put constant pressure on the trigger to be able to pull it. It also has an internal drop safety so if there's a round in the chamber and you accidentally drop it, it won't accidentally fire. I have this exact same pistol but in a different color and they're fantastic pistols, great triggers, very reliable and extremely accurate. Would highly recommend one. Hope this helps.

A: No, this model is Not optics ready. I'd never use a dovetail adapter. Personally, I'd just send the slide out to get milled for whatever optic you want.
