No exaggeration, this was the worst gun purchase I've ever made and I've purchased many. I bought this gun in March of 2026. After two abysmal range visits, I sent it to Colt under warranty. After several weeks, I got the gun back with a scratch on the rear of the slide. I took the gun to the range and was able to fire less than 30 rounds, between repeated FTF and FTE malfunctions, before the gun stopped working altogether. I was furious! I will never purchase another Colt firearm. That gun should have never gotten past QC in the first place and it definitely shouldn't have been returned to me with the same issues I sent it back to them to fix. Now, I'm stuck with that lemon, until I can come up with the money to send it to a real 1911 shop, to be remade for functionality and reliability. I wish I could give this gun and Colt a score lower than one star. Buyer beware!
