Nice older classic...
Nice older classic style 1911. Spur hammer. Easy controls. 9mm is easy to shoot and very little recoil. Nice checkered stocks. Overall a good shooter and nice package.

In a word: "sweet". I...
In a word: "sweet". I chose the 9mm vs. the 45ACP as I have a Colt Commander BB gun and loved the 1911 feel and handling. But, BB's are not the same as real ammo.....so, the interest in the Colt Govt 9MM. The use is just for casual range shooting as it's too large for me to use for concealed carry. The trigger pull is 6 lbs. The trigger is crisp and the reset is short. The recoil is low (as expected compared to a 45ACP) and therefore the best word to describe it is : "sweet". The downside: 1911 field strip for maintenance. If you are thinking of getting a 1911, review on YouTube or otherwise the procedure. It's not that difficult, but not as easy as non-1911 models. This "puppy" is highly recommended and, by the way, nice to look at.
