The Colt Combat Commander is a .38 Super semi-automatic pistol built around the proven 1911 platform. It combines a carbon steel blue slide and frame with a stainless steel barrel and dual recoil spring system designed to help reduce felt recoil and extend service life. Novak white dot front and LoMount Carry rear sights provide a practical sight picture, while checkered G10 grips and an upswept beavertail grip safety support a secure hold for carry or range use. The Series 80 firing system adds an internal firing-pin safety, and the single-stack magazine provides a 9+1 capacity.

Slide to frame fit is...
Slide to frame fit is a bit tighter than most of my other Colts, barrel bushing is fit well, no barrel hood deflection noted, blued finish is nice and even, out of the box trigger pull average for five pulls is 5lb 5oz. Has a bit of the Colt Rattle from the grip safety, but I've had worse. Functions fine with snap caps. Will get to the range asap. Overall, I'm very pleased with the gun and Bud's service. Can't say the same for FedEx as it took the 2 day shipping a total of 5 days to show up.
