Its 4.25-inch steel barrel, single-action hammer-fired system, short steel trigger, and skeletonized hammer provide the classic Commander configuration in a practical size. White dot Novak sights support a clear sight picture, while the upswept beavertail grip safety and single-sided thumb safety provide traditional 1911 controls. Black Cherry checkered G10 grips add a secure, durable interface for range use and carry.

Ive been an 1911 fan...
Ive been an 1911 fan for a long time. So I had to have a Colt. The overall fit and finish was in the 5 out of 10 range and in my opinion not worth the $1000 price. After some hand touch up work so that the slide literally wouldn't drag the frame in places, it has started to come around. The gun feels and works better every time I shoot it. It has went from the worst out the box to an ok gun. Hopefully it keeps getting better only have 750 rounds though it so far
