The Dan Wesson 1911 Specialist is a full-size .45 ACP pistol developed with law-enforcement requirements in mind. Its forged stainless steel slide and frame provide a durable service-oriented platform, while the 5-inch barrel supports the familiar handling and accuracy potential of a traditional Government-size 1911. Night sights feature a green tritium front lamp with a white target ring and an amber tritium rear dot for improved sight acquisition in reduced light. An integral 1913 Picatinny rail accommodates compatible accessories, and the undercut trigger guard, recessed slide stop, extended magazine release, and detachable two-piece magwell support efficient operation. G10 VZ Operator II grips work with the beavertail grip safety to promote a consistent hand position. The pistol includes two 8-round magazines with bump pads.

Great gun, best 1911 I own. Very tight lockup and beautiful machine work inside and out. Followed the break-in procedure with quality lube and cleaning and didn't have a single stoppage. Very first magazine was a one hole, 8 shot group. Trigger is very light, great for range work, but in my opinion a bit too light for carry, which I wasn't planning on. No complaints overall and a good deal from Bud's.

Worth Every Penny! I own/owned 1911's from all of the U.S brands, and this blows them all out of the water. This thing is just perfect. I did change the grips, but I do that to all my handguns. That's my personal taste and there's nothing wrong with the factory grips. Fit and finish is flawless. And I did receive the updated 2020 model, just in case your curious.\\r\ Follow the break in directions and you'll have no problems except how to finance the next one. Solid 10/10, I would absolutely buy this again at the QP price.
