The FN 509 Compact Tactical delivers the capability of the FN 509 platform in a compact, optics-ready 9mm pistol. Its striker-fired action, 4.32-inch threaded barrel, and modular grip design support adaptable carry, training, and defensive configurations. The Low-Profile Optics Mounting System accepts a wide range of miniature red dot optics, and the included Vortex Viper red dot works with the blackout iron sights for a co-witnessed sighting setup. The pistol uses a durable polymer grip and accepts higher-capacity FN 509 magazines, including the supplied 24-round magazine configuration.

Bought this due to...
Bought this due to Bud's pricing at the time to incorporate into my cc (concealed carry) rotation. This is now the top on my choices after feeling the grips and shooting a few mags through it. I trust the FN brand after much research of various FN firearms over the years including the 509 line of handguns. Name a top tier cc pistol across most common brand names and I've owned, shot or held them and the FN509 Compact fits better in my hand than any of them. The mag compatability across the 509 line is nice as well. Trigger is comparable to Walther, S&W Performance Center and Canik's that I own. The kicker with this purchase at the time was the Vortex Viper Red dot that came already mounted and torque down and was spot on when boresighted and shot. 24 rd. mag didn't hurt neither. As always Bud's makes ordering a seamless, easy process. Would highly recommend the FN if your looking in this line of pistols!
