The FN America 509 is a striker-fired 9mm semi-automatic pistol configured for law-enforcement use without a manual safety. It combines a matte black slide with a Flat Dark Earth checkered polymer frame, interchangeable backstraps, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail. Its cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel measures 4 inches, while the three-dot night sights support sight acquisition in low-light conditions. The pistol accepts 17-round magazines for a 17+1 capacity and includes three magazines.

This is my first...
This is my first purchase of an FN product and it probably won't be the last! First of all the grip just fits my hand perfectly and the balance of the firearm is right on. The grip angle works to bring the gun up to a firing position that allows a quick sight picture. This gun just feels right! I've put about 400 rounds of various ammo through this gun so far with absolutely no issues of any kind. It's easy to break down for cleaning. And, as always Bud's was great to deal with from order to delivery.
