The Fusion Firearms Freedom Series Combat Carry 1911 combines a classic Series 70 Commander layout with an all-steel construction built for dependable carry and defensive target shooting. Its 4.25-inch barrel and precision-fitted frame, slide, and barrel are CNC machined from bar stock for consistent lock-up and practical accuracy. The chrome-moly barrel is finished in hard chrome, target crowned, and designed for easy cleaning. A beavertail grip safety, extended combat thumb safety, lightweight Commander hammer, tuned extractor, lowered and relieved ejection port, and beveled magazine entrance provide purposeful handling and reliable operation. Red cocobolo hardwood grips add a distinctive, secure interface, while Novak-compatible sight cuts simplify future sight upgrades.

Buds offers same as...
Buds offers same as cash discount, little slower gets here all the same. Have the Fusion Riptide and Combat both in 45. Riptide weight is 32 ounces and has a little more snap. The Combat has a weight of 36 ounces, a little heavy. I want the extra weight to mitigate recoil. Now going with 9mm. Want something fun and cheaper to shoot. Front sight is trash. Will send slide to Fusion and have them put a night sight on it. Left side safety, military style trigger set up as a carry weapon. American made and lifetime warranty. Worth taking a look at.

Received gun covered...
Received gun covered in oil. Had to totally disassemble and clean due to everything down to the firing pin and extractor channel being heavily covered in rust from the blueing process. I had failure to feeds nearly every round. After many attempts on removing and trying to tune the extractor I ended up just dropping in a Wilson combat bulletproof extractor which required some filing down so the gun would go into battery. Now I have absolutely zero issues and it's one of my favorite guns to shoot and the trigger is very light at just 3.5 lbs! Love this gun
