The Fusion Firearms Freedom Series Combat 1911 is a rugged Commander-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in 10mm. Its frame, slide, and barrel are precision CNC machined from solid billet bar-stock steel and fitted for dependable performance. The 4.25-inch HD-chrome barrel has a 1:16 twist rate for accuracy and easy cleaning. A beavertail grip safety, extended combat carry thumb safety, rounded frame butt, rounded mainspring housing, and beveled magazine well support comfortable carry and defensive-style target shooting. Novak-compatible sights, a Commander ring hammer, a bar-stock power extractor, and red cocobolo grips complete the classic 70 Series configuration.

I've been a fan of...
I've been a fan of 10mm for some time and have full size 1911's chambered for this as well as FN and Springfield striker guns. This is the first commander size 10mm for me. It's a fantastic gun, especially at this price point. How many do full checkering at even double the price? The gun is accurate and the finish is great. I've only fired 70 rounds in the first session with no problems other than the safety being a little stiff at first. Also, the safety has some sharp edges on the edges that a little filing will take care of. The barrel is not ramped, but then neither is my Delta Elite. In summary, am very pleased with this 1911 and feel it offers a lot of value.

As always, Buds is a great outfit to do business with. I'm old school 1911. Back in the day, you needed to send your plain jane Colt to Bill Wilson or Wayne Novak to get a pistol like this. There were no on the shelf custom tuned pistols. They had to be built. Costing thousands of dollars and over a year to complete. I own two Fusion 1911's. Beautiful precision tools. Everything done right. Good slide to frame fit. No rattles whatsoever. Solid barrel lock up. 3.6 pound trigger that breaks CLEAN. Shoots smooth and repeatedly to the point of aim. If I had to wait a year, I'd still be happy. Not a $5000. pistol but Five stars for what you are paying.

A major...
A major disappointment. This gun would eject the magazine almost everytime I shot the gun. I dont think it was ever able to shoot 3 consecutive rounds without a problem. It also had numerous failures to feed when it wasn't ejecting the magazine.
