Specific to this gun:\r I opted for the 34 for the length. I only do target shooting and the extra length (and therefore mass - not much, but some) help you get back on target faster. It's a good gun. There's only 1 thing I am going to knock it for and that it's way too easy to put the slide on cockeyed (miss the front tabs with the front of the slide). This was new for me, and I had to learn to put it back together upside down to prevent this. This could be a personal issue - your mileage may vary here. I got the MOS spec on the recommendation of my brother in law. He's trying to convert me from iron sights to red dot on pistols. I'm still not sold, but as he pointed out if I changed my mind in the future it would cost me way more to have it milled to MOS spec.\r \r Buying from Bud's:\r I am very happy with this purchase. The gun was brand new (first purchase from Bud's - you never know, right?) and shipped plenty fast. I saved quite a bit of money - even with the FFL fees, and will likely buy from Bud's again.
