A: From what I've read from many Glock owners, the Stock Glock Plates do not fare well sooo you might want to get a better quality aftermarket mounting plate.

A: Yes, MOS is the model cut for optics. The Glock plates aren't very good, have been shooting a Glock 41 MOS and 45 MOS, bought plates from C&H Precision that are much better than the ones it came with.
