The Heckler & Koch USP V1 is a full-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol designed for dependable service use and comfortable handling. Its fiber-reinforced polymer frame is reinforced with stainless steel inserts in high-stress and high-friction areas, while the blued steel slide provides a durable traditional finish. The modified Browning-type action incorporates HK's patented recoil reduction system, which helps reduce stress on pistol components and lessen felt recoil without requiring ammunition-specific adjustment or special maintenance. Variant 1 combines double-action/single-action operation with a left-side manual safety and decocking lever. Fixed 3-dot sights support quick target acquisition, and the pistol includes two 10-round magazines.
