The HK USP V1 is a full-size 9mm semi-automatic pistol designed for dependable service use and consistent accuracy. Its fiber-reinforced polymer frame is strengthened with stainless steel inserts in high-stress and high-friction areas, while the blued steel slide and polygonal bore barrel provide a durable, precision-oriented platform. The frame-mounted control lever combines a manual safety and decocker, and its modular design can be configured for left- or right-side operation. This model features fixed 3-dot sights, universal mounting grooves, an extended slide release, and an ambidextrous magazine release. It includes two 15-round magazines.

HK reliability still...
HK reliability still runs on the USP line up. The downside was the double action trigger. A few hundred rounds should make it less harder to pull.

What's to say that...
What's to say that hasn't been said about this iconic HK. Great gun they say it's old and outdated says the guys that won't buy it! It is worth the money you pay. I personally added a jet funnel and the mags and it took the usp to whole new level. The weapon is combat ready right out the box.

The USP definitely...
The USP definitely shows its age in design when compared to modern pistols, especially in ergonomics. Some people, a few of my own friends included, dislike how this pistol feels in their hands. I have to agree with them on some points, this thing is a brick. The exact things they dislike about it are the same things I love about this weapon. Ran fine without malfunctions through questionable ammo, very reliable. One thing to be aware of is the accessory rails are not standard picatinny rails. This is an older design and has its own proprietary system. Your standard accessories won't fit properly without some sort of adapter (These adapters are fairly easy to find, but all of this has a significant impact on holster fit) Very soft shooting and easy to keep on target. I had a very pleasant experience with this at the range.
