About 325 rounds down...
About 325 rounds down range over two sessions. WWB 115, Fed Champ 115, Gold Dot 115, Fed HST 124. Grip texture is excellent. Easy to rack slide. Wide trigger face is perfect for trigger finger. Trigger weight very good for self defense pistol. Reset is a bit long but is audible. Front sight falls right back on target when shooting strings. Have owned Shield, XDS, Bersa Thunder, and a few other carry guns...Honor Guard is the best overall. Simple takedown and easy to clean modular unit. Just enough weight to tame recoil. Mags are good quality...seated efficiently after about 200 rounds. One stovepipe in first mag...flawless operation after that. Going to purchase long slide kit for $200 and wait for 40 caliber or 45 acp conversion kits. This is all you really need (one fire control unit) for carry (compact) and home defense (long slide with extra mag). Going with Federal HST 124g self defense ammo. Pistol is rated for +P but standard HST meets my needs.

Carried it to the range in a good size pistol rug once and the finish was worn off the edges, and some flats, on the sights. First time this ever happened with any of my many pistols. Value of the gun depleted a lot because of this. Other than that I rate the gun 'adequate'. Nothing special....nothing horrible.

This is the most accurate handgun in my stable. It was dead on straight out of the box. I love that the HG9SC is made in Gainesville, Georgia, by American veterans. My FFL liked it so much he was ordering one that afternoon. The gun is solid, love the sights, grip is comfortable and can be changed since you get 2 different backstraps with the gun. You also get a 7rd and an 8 rd magazine with the gun. It is also a very handsomely made handgun. This will be my new concealed carry weapon. I put 50 rounds of American Eagle 9mm through it with no problems, then 50 rounds of Blazer Brass with no problems. The manual states that it takes 150 - 200 rounds to fully break the gun in, so I will be back at the range next week after I pick up some more 9mm Blazer Brass. It also comes from the factory rated for P ammo.I only gave it 4 stars due to the heavy trigger pull. Maybe that will work itself out with more use; if not, I will probably contact Honor Defense in Georgia to see if they can tweak it back some. This is one of the finest handguns I have ever fired!
