Product Overview
The Iver Johnson 1911A1 Hawk Deluxe is a Commander-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol built around the classic 1911 platform. Its Blue/Black finish combines highly polished blued surfaces on the frame and slide sides with matte blued treatment on the top of the slide and underside of the frame. A Novak LoMount-style rear sight and dovetail front sight provide a familiar fixed-sight configuration. The pistol also features front and rear angled slide serrations, an extended slide stop, an extended thumb safety, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a beveled magazine well. Rosewood double-diamond grips with fine-line checkering, a three-hole trigger, skeletonized hammer, and beavertail grip safety with memory bump complete the deluxe configuration.

Opened the plastic...
Opened the plastic case and observed the gun was kind of greassy. OK I cleaned it up. Upon take down the plunger tube fell off, I needed to restake it. Took down completely to inspect sear and hammer, they were machined with an ax. TERRIBLE. Probably over 10# trigger pull. After I worked them I got the trigger pull down to 4#. I know this was not a Kimber but it was very poor from the factory. Buds was good as always, but Iver Johnson was very poor.
