A: no its not legal its not on the CA DOJ approved list In Ca the specific model has to be submitted and pass all tests even a different color makes it illegal and Kimber would have to submit it in the "new" color and pay for the testing as a example a gun with black grips may be legal and have passes all the tests but if they decided to offer it with a different grip it would have to be submitted as a new guns and retested paid for by the manufacturer.
