Its lightweight aluminum frame and stainless steel slide are finished in satin silver, while the dynamic Raptor serrations and zebra wood scale-pattern grips provide its distinctive appearance. A 3-inch ramped match-grade barrel supports dependable performance, and fixed Tactical Wedge Tritium night sights provide a clear aiming reference in low-light conditions. The pistol also includes an ambidextrous thumb safety, a bumped and grooved grip safety, a match-grade aluminum trigger, and a full-length guide rod.

In my opinion, the...
In my opinion, the Kimber Raptor models are about as beautiful as a pistol can get. That said, I've owned several of them, and I cannot understand why Kimber engineers refuse to make disassembly something less than the nightmare it is. Gun owners should not have to own special tools in order to take their pistols down for cleaning. Reassembling the Kimber, it's very easy to scar the finish on the frame, which ruins the looks of the pistol. Pistols costing half as much as Kimbers don't have this problem. So why doesn't Kimber find a fix for this issue?

Awesome gun! I had been looking to get this gun for over a year and finally was able to get it at Buds after every gun shop I checked with locally told me anywhere from 4 months to 1 year if they ordered it for me. I ordered it from Buds on a Sunday at noon with Monday being a holiday (Memorial day) and it still arrived at my local gun shop on Thursday! I even got it from Buds for $100-200 less then local shops were quoting me. Took it out to the range today and it ate everything I put through it from FMJ to +P hollow points.
