The Kimber Ultra CDP II is a compact .45 ACP 1911 pistol designed for concealed carry and personal defense. Its three-inch match grade ramped barrel and single-action trigger provide the refined handling expected from Kimber’s Custom Shop, while the lightweight aluminum frame keeps the pistol at 25 ounces with an empty magazine. The pistol combines a stainless steel slide with a matte black KimPro II frame finish, rounded Carry Melt edges, and double diamond rosewood grips. Fixed Meprolight Tritium 3-dot night sights support aiming in low-light conditions, and the ambidextrous thumb safety offers convenient operation from either side.

Overall well satisfied with one exception. The supplied clip was of lesser quality than the price point of the gun. Proximate result: ordered better quality clips ($50). I suspicion this was an intensional decision by Kimber as an upsell opportunity . If so, it lessens my opinion of the brand.
