The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911-U Undercover is a compact .45 ACP 1911 pistol designed around a 3-inch barrel and lightweight anodized alloy frame. Its carbon steel slide features serrations for positive manipulation, while the enhanced beavertail grip safety, extended manual safety lever, skeletonized trigger, and beveled magazine well support controlled handling. Adjustable rear and dovetailed front sights provide a practical aiming system. This package also includes a 6-inch 420 stainless fixed-blade 1911 knife with a gray and green G10 grip and Kydex sheath.

I really loved the...
I really loved the firearm when I first received it and wanted it to perform just as well as it looked and felt. Unfortunately, it just doesn't. Luckily Magnum Research's warranty department is efficient because I've had to send it back twice now for fail to feed issues which is an absolutely unacceptable quality issue for a handgun designed to be used for concealed carry in my opinion. Outside of that issue, I truly do love the look, feel, and build quality (outside of the issue described). It has more heft than most other handguns and was certainly made with high quality materials. Also, the shots that do fire seem to be very accurate for such a short barrel. I did purchase the version with the included knife and it's also very impressive. I've mostly owned cheap pocket knives in the past and this is unlike anything I've ever owned. Very solid, sharp, and ergonomic with the 1911 style grip. I'm not an expert on knives by any means so I'll leave it at that for this part of the review.
