The MasterPiece Arms DS9 Hybrid is a hand-built, wide-body double-stack 1911-style pistol chambered in 9mm. Its Black DLC slide, frame, barrel, ambidextrous safety, slide stop, and beavertail provide a consistent durable finish, while the black anodized aluminum grip and red anodized trigger add a distinctive competition-oriented configuration. A hand-fitted, hand-lapped slide-to-frame fit and five-inch MPA416R vacuum heat-treated stainless steel bull barrel support consistent accuracy. The Accuracy X sight base accepts iron or reflex sight configurations and is equipped here with a Kensight Bomar-style adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front sight blade. With a tuned 2.5-pound trigger, EGW fire-control components, and two MBX Extreme magazines, the DS9 Hybrid is configured for competitive shooting, duty applications, and demanding range use.
