The MAC MEUSOC is a...
The MAC MEUSOC is a reproduction of, I think, the first generation M45. The faithfulness is pretty ideal. Rear cocking serrations only, and vertical rather than angled. Clean lines. It comes with a nice Novak style rear and a generous from sight post, designed so as to not snag on a holster. This sight set up, means it is fairly easy to rapidly acquire the front sight. It is well designed to its role as a fighting pistol. I think it has potential to be well suited for winter, fall and early spring carry, or dedicated home, RV or camp defense. I think the MAC spec is a step up from the already quite decent Tisas spec and quality control. The gun is accurate, but, given the wide front sight post, the precision dips after 25 yards. Past that distance, groups will widen a bit. I've given it a full five stars. I've not noticed a serious break in period. I've found no Tisas made pistol likes Wilson Combat Vickers Mags. And this pistol is no exception. But it runs every other mag I use perfectly well. The fit and finish are really quite delightful. It has an old school tactical feel. I also have the MAC JSOC (patterned on a Delta Force design) and it has run flawlessly. I really think the MAC JSOC and the MEUSOC represent the best 1911 value out there right now. I would definitely buy one again.
